Immaculate Conception Council was founded in 2006 through the efforts of the Father Richard Mehm (our pastor), Vincent Rumasuglia (State Secretary), and John Pettazoni (District Deputy). It is named after the Immaculate Conception Parish with which it works closely in Malden, all members being active participants in the parish: organizing service and social events, providing funds for various projects, and supporting the life of the parish.

  1. Our St. Pius Assembly was asked if we can assist the Chelsea Soldiers Home.

Per Paul Bergeron-Master of Massachusetts District of the Bishop James A. Healy Province, and the Chelsea Soldier’s Home and principal chaplain, Rev. Patrick Healy, OMI request assistance in bringing patients who need assistance in getting to the chapel (St. Michael’s Chapel) for 10:00 am Mass on Sundays. We would pick up patients at 9:30 am and transport them to the chapel. After Mass, return same patients to their rooms. They also have an 11:00 am Daily Mass and transport assistance would be welcomed.
If anyone can help volunteer to help these veterans, let Charles Fallon know at 617-797-2014 or email charlesfallon@verizon.net. If we can obtain 30 Sir Knights or Brother Knights, we can schedule two men per Mass per quarter. If they have any availability during the week, we can schedule brothers for this as well. I welcome a call from all brothers to assist our veterans and Fr. Patrick Healy in this worthy assignment.
